Kohei Ichikawa (市川幸平 いちかわこうへい) is an associate professor at the Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIS), Tohoku University since October 2025. I was previously an associate professor at Waseda University between 2023-2025 (September). I was an assistant professor at Tohoku from April 2018 to March 2023. I was a visiting researcher at Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) from March 2021 to February 2022. Before joining Tohoku U., I was a postdoc fellow at NAOJ in Japan between April 2015-October in 2016, and a visiting scholar as a JSPS fellow at the Department of Astronomy, Columbia University in the USA, between October 2016-September 2018. I was also an affiliated researcher at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, UTSA between Nov 2016-Oct 2018. Before starting my postdoc career, I was in Kyoto and obtained a Ph.D. in astronomy at the Department of Astronomy, Kyoto University.
